One of the most prestigious trophy's in the tennis world, the Davis Cup, arrived in Guernsey on Tuesday, as part of a national tour.

Earlier this year, Great Britain claimed the title for the first time in 79 years, the longest interval between titles in the event's history.

The cup was displayed for the general public at the Market Terrace in St Peter Port between 11am and 3pm.

Local school children, tennis club members and the general public were given the opportunity to see and be pictured with the trophy, as well as having a chance to pick up a racket and play a bit of tennis themselves.
