Social Membership

The club has a limited number of non-tennis playing family members who have joined the Club as Social Members. In particular, this gives parents of Junior Members a strong link with the Club. For our social events, booking priority will be given to members over non-members. Ticket prices for non-members may also be higher.

Junior and Student Membership

Being a Junior member is also remarkably cheap.  For Students who are in full-time education and aged 18 to 25 years old, the annual fee is £87. And it can work out even cheaper if children join as part of a Family membership. Note that Junior members under 12 must be accompanied by an adult when at the Club.

Family Membership

Family membership applies to a nominated Adult, their Spouse or Civil Partner and a child of either of these two adults living at the family home. It may work out beneficial for you to join using Family Membership.

Payment of Subscriptions

You can pay subscriptions by on-line payment, we use GOCARDLESS, the payment is debit from your account on an annual basis. You will need your account number and sort code at the ready when joining.

Once you become a member you will also have the opportunity to purchase a Clubhouse key for an additional £6 via our membership secretary.

Club Rules and Bye Laws

Full rules and laws can be found on this website but here are answers to a few of the most common questions we get asked;

ONLY proper tennis shoes may be worn on the courts.

Membership NUMBERS are your proof of membership and MUST be available to show when at our Club.

Juniors under 12 must be accompanied by an adult whilst at our Club.

For information, the Club Rules can only be changed at an AGM. The committee can update the Bye-Laws when necessary for the organisation and running of the club.

Email Addresses, WhatsApp and Member Information

We have a number of WhatsApp groups to help arrange social sessions and a 'Main WhatsApp Group' to send out news and other communications. It greatly helps the administration of the club and keeps costs down, if we can communicate by email and WhatsApp where possible. We will also be able to get information to you more quickly. Please consider this when selecting the contact options when applying on-line.

Data Protection

The club holds certain data relating to each member that is provided in the application form and a copy of the data is held on a computer. This information includes the member’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and other details as provided by each member of the club. The data is used solely for the purposes of organising tennis activities, contacting members, and is not disclosed to third parties. Each year the club produces a membership contact list with only your name, membership number, code, and phone number so that members can contact other members. This is distributed solely to members and a copy is held in the clubhouse. By signing the application form having chosen “YES” to the relevant statements, you give your consent to this data being used in the manner described on the application form which you sign.
