Events

We have plenty of fun, social and competitive activities throughout the year for our members including tennis tournaments, social events, our AGM and more. Here are our annual events that our members can benefit from:

Upcoming Events

Parent Child Tournament - Sunday July 2nd 2023

This is another fun event where parents play with their child in a doubles format in a tennis familyaffair! It’s often the kids who show the parents how it’s done on court!

Summer Club Tournament & Final's Day - Sunday 10th September 2023

Every Summer, we host a competitive knock-out tournament for all members to enter where there's trophies and bragging rights up for grabs for ladies and mens singles, doubles and mixed.

The tournament ends on our historic Final's Day where all the finals get played on the same day in front of an excited crowd, primed with Pimms, strawberries & cream and a BBQ - who can hold their nerve?

Penn & Tylers Green Tennis Club AGM - Monday 6th November 2023

The Tennis Club Annual General Meetings at our fabled Clubhouse is a chance for members to catch-up and reminisce about the events of the year, have their say about what they'd like to see more of (or less!), and an opportunity to shape the future of the club by joining an enthusiastic team of volunteers.

Regular Annual Events

Christmas Club Night Social

As Christmas draws near, members grab their jingle bells and fancy dress costumes for a fun and social mixed handicap tournament. With mulled wine and mince pies on offer, this is a popular event that gets everyone in to the festive spirit!

There is plenty of room at the inn for all to to join the merriment

Over 30s vs Under 30s Tournament

The classic battle between youth and experience takes place once per year in a fun & competitive round robin format and has been running for over 20 years. Currently, our more experienced members are ahead in the series but you can never write-off the young ones!

Mixed Handicap Tournament

This is a fun, social mixed double’s event where pairs are randomly chosen prior to the tournament.
