FINALS DAY 2019

Matt Trevorrow became the new men's singles champion and Birte Hosken retained her ladies title at the 2019 Club Tournament finals day on September 8.
Matt came through a gripping marathon match to clinch the men's crown for the first time with a 7-6, 2-6, 7-5 victory over defending champion Tristan Wynne, battling back from 4-1 down in the final set.
Birte won the ladies singles for the second successive year, beating young rival Zahra Bhola 6-2, 6-4.
Tony Wong lifted two trophies, beating Anthony Lock in straight sets to win the men's over-50s for the third time in a row since becoming eligible before the pair teamed up to beat Gavan Goulder and Dave Murthwaite 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 in the men's doubles final.
Ladies first and second team captains Carolyn Brown and Jayne Wignall beat Jane Dews and Zahra Bhola 6-3, 6-1 to become ladies doubles champions.
The mixed doubles went to Tristan Wynne and recent new member Pam Eligio who beat Anthony Lock and Birte Hosken 6-4, 6-3.
Lulu Martin beat Tilly Eldridge to retain the girls singles title while Spencer Hill-Whittall defeated Tilly's brother Charlie in the boys final
