Club Play
Old Basing Tennis Club welcomes all standards of players. Our club sessions are informal and everyone gets a chance to play. We mix and match partners depending on the number of members who turn up to play.
If you are not sure about joining the club, please come along and play one or two club sessions on a trial basis before joining.
If you are a new member and unsure about the club night format, please get in touch with us at obtc.information@gmail.com and we will answer your questions and make sure there is someone there to welcome you on your first attendance.
Club sessions for social play are at the following times:
- Tuesday - 6.00 pm to dusk (summer)
- Friday - 6.00 pm to dusk (summer)
- Wednesday 2.30pm - 4.30pm (all year)
- Sunday - 10.00am to 12.00pm (all year)
We have a WhatsApp group for members - please email us if you would like to be added to this group to find out who else is playing.
Junior members - can play until 6pm on Club Nights, 6:30pm on other nights if a match is taking place.
Club nights are for adults only, however we welcome strong older junior members who would like to take part in the club nights, we are keen to encourage younger players.
If you are interested in using the courts for private play only, please book a court through the Booking page of the website or by using the Clubspark Booker app, to ensure courts are available when you would like to play.
At the end of play, please lower the nets to ease off the tension on the net cords.
The last players to leave the courts are requested to lock the gates, return the balls to the Clubhouse and lock the Clubhouse door.
