This competition was held as a random draw of the 5 strongest players with the 5 less strong.  Mollie Twitchell and Kerry Pendlebery drawn together, and Pamela Reid and Ruth Abdey came through a round robin stage and faced each other in the final.  Mollie and Kerry proved to be too strong for Pamela and Ruth and won in straight sets.
